Help for your baby's incarnation process

This book is all about the process of incarnation of the baby's soul in the early years, and how you as a parent/carer can help or hinder the process. THe book is based on Rudolf Steiner's philospohy,but does not assume any knowledge of Steiner's work. It is a gem for me as a first time mother anxious to do whatever I can to make the incarnation process easier for my baby. There are so few sensible books on this subject, and it is full of practical advice on feeding, sleeping, rythm, colour, sound etc. A must for any parent with spiritual awareness, and still very helpful for those who just want some non-mainstream sensible practical advice.

Wonderful for new parents!

This is no ordinary childcare guide for new parents! It is based on 10 years of research and work conducted at the Gabriel Baby Centre in Melbourne. It follows the soul life of tiny babies through early childhood and contains a lot of practical advice, thoughtful insight and some activities and songs that recognizes the unique spiritual reality of each human being. It is beautifully written and uplifting to read. Long after your child is up and running around, you will continue to be awed by the mystery the whole process of birth and life offers to you as a parent. Highly recommended!

Practical Advice with a Spiritual Awareness

I first received this book from a friend who is a Waldorf School Teacher. It is full of practical advice on baby care together with "unconventional" information about child development and is a must for parents or caregivers open enough to consider that man (and hence babies!) originate in the spiritual world.

Fantastic book about the "real" Italy!

For many years we have been in love with Italy. The food, the wine, the landscape, the beautiful stonehouses and the wonderful friendly Italian people. Like most people we have travelled to Tuscany, Rome, Venice, Lago di Como and Lago di Garda. Why? Beacuse talking to travel agencies and friends these were the only places that they knew. We have had some great trips, but we have never really found the "real" Italy, where there are few turists and the local people only speak Italian. However, after reading this exciting book written by 2 Danes, I think we have found the region we have been looking for: Piedmont in Northern-Italy where Torino is the capital. Fantastic food (truffles in the autumn), the best wines in Italy (Barolo and Barberesco), close to the sea in the summer and close to some of the best skiing in the winter. Sounds just like the perfect location for us. The book tells the story about a family that did what many of us dream about, but very few dare to do: They bought a ruin in the hills of Roccaverano and converted it into a wounderful vacation house. It is done in details, but also with a great sense of humor. In fact the entire book is written in a very personal way with lots of great tips and stories about the wine, the food and the people of this region. The pictures are amazing and you really fall in love with the area. We have already booked a 3 week trip to Piedmont in the beginning of June this year. Thank you Erik and Jesper for opening up our eyes to this region!

I have not had time to read this book. But I would like to correspond with the authors. Because I think the house was in my family in the 1700's and would like to talk to the owner. I have not done anything about this question but will in future. Sincerely Suzette Coleman. It was wonderful to get the book and in good shape too.

Anadi Das is a Professor Emeritus at Simon Fraser University, British Columbia, Canada.  He earned his Ph.D. in Mathematics and Physics from the National University of Ireland and his D.Sc. from Calcutta University.  He has published numerous papers in publications such as the Journal of Mathematical Physics and Foundation of Physics.  His book entitled The Special Theory of Relativity: A Mathematical Exposition was published by Springer in 1993.

Tensors

This book is a clearly written introduction to the subject of tensors. The concepts are introduced in a logical, step by step way, starting from finite-dimensional vector spaces. A good number of examples and diagrams are provided throughout. Each section has problems with hints and answers. The book would work well for a course, but could also be used for self study.

This book emerged from nearly five decades of author's global experience teaching courses on mathematical physics, at the University College of Dublin, Carnegie-Mellon University in Pittsburgh and at Simon Fraser University in British Columbia.

Tensors provide a concise mathematical framework for formulating and solving problems in physics in areas such as general relativity, elasticity and fluid mechanics. The author uses the latest ideas and methods to introduce the theory of tensor algebra and tensor analysis applied to the mathematical theory of relativity and continuum mechanics. Coverage also includes in-depth tensor analysis, differential manifold, differential forms, connection forms, and curvature tensor. In addition, the book investigates Riemannian and pseudo-Riemannian manifolds in great detail.

Throughout the book, examples and problems are provided on the theory of relativity and continuum mechanics, making it a unique text for the pursuit of both the mathematical relativity theory and continuum mechanics. To supplement concepts of pure mathematics, this book is enhanced by perceptive descriptions of Fiber Bundles and Lie Derivatives, which are included in the Appendix. A unique feature of this book is the inclusion of problems with answers and hints provided for every chapter. The problems are not so unmanageable that you will skip them, nor so hard that you will give up in frustration. Indeed, for self study, the simple fact that there are answers is a key factor that motivates the reader to tackle the problems.

I purchased this book to further my self-study of Physics. This is one of the best books I have come across on the application of tensors to relativity theory and continuum mechanics.

Great as a research book

Well written. Much personal background. Policies. Events. Not much for those interested in movies and novels. Great as a research book. Highly recommended for the student of history. Have one of my own and bought a copy for my girlfriend's grandson who just "graduated": from Second Grade in the hopes that he will keep it and become educated as w ell as schooled.

The ultimate in Presidential history

This book is a must for anyone that wants a concise and quick background on all the United States Presidents. The book lists cabinet members, judicial appointments, running mates, election opponents, major accomplishments, campaign platforms, and the primary process in which each President secured the nomination. Each President short biography covers how they grew up, women they loved, and what shaped their leadership style.

If you are a history and political enthusiast this book is a great reference tool. It is also a great way to follow how the United States has progressed over the past three centuries. One fascinating part of the book is some of the newspaper quotes during each Presidency. With each President there is support and opposition for the President's policies. For example, it is interesting to see criticism of George Washington. Even the great Washington could not please everyone. I highly recommend this book for anyone interested in Presidential history.

Thourough reference

This is an excellent book detailing the facts for each president and is an excellent reference for each president. However, if you are looking for short readable biographies of the presidents, I would look for another book. That being said, this is very good reference book which serves its purpose.

it was an okay read.

This is a good concept with engaging characters and a unique storyline.

The good:
I found Lucas to be my favorite, I love a man that's not afraid to be himself. I'm also glad there wasn't that much focus on their relationship being interracial or any poetry about third legs (think about it for a while, you'll get it.)Michelle refreshingly didn't have the stereotypical prototype for African-American heroines; the over dramatic attitude, cussing and fussin at everyone or being hard as ice towards men all the time.

The bad:
However, overall the novella lacked development. There were no details about either character or the world they live in. What do either of them look like? What does anyone look like in this book? The author neglected those important details. The "romance" consisted of three interrupted dates before the couple were in "love." Which brings me to my next point, the love scenes felt stunted, I just wanted a little more from the author; I felt like more attention was paid to Lucas and Rory than Michelle and Gavin, with both characters constantly worrying what their friends were doing. And speaking of the m/m relationship, the author handled this like she was afraid to offend readers by exploring their relationship. I don't think it was purposeful, but, it just leaned that way in my opinion.

Michelle was too much of a pushover. ***spoiler**** What woman, regardless of race, would not react to a total stranger licking her face? We don't like it when people touch our hair, imagine someone face raping you; their germs on your cheeks, smearing all that expensive makeup you painstakingly put on. What would you do? Michelle did and said nothing.

I'm jus sayin:
There is a scene on the beach with Zack and his gang that put me in the mind of "Lost boys," so without a real description I imagined him as a young Keifer Sutherland with dark hair.

Overall:
This is a great idea and the author has real talent, but this novella lacks development and style. I won't continue this series, but I will keep my eye on this author, her future is bright.

I dislike purchasing a book only to find out it's not completed. I really dislike buying a book and finding out the author hasn't decided whether or not to complete the story. I truly dislike buying a book and finding out all the things I listed earlier.

Ms. Banks should be ashamed of herself!

Why is Ms. Banks charging money for a book that isn't even half way finished? Don't get me wrong the story started out ok and has great potential to become a good story, but how can the Arthur justify selling a incomplete book. It is almost insulting that she would leave a message at the end of the book asking the readers to rate and review her book to let her know is she should continue this story or not. I guess I will never know how this story ends because I refuse to pay for another incomplete book.

My thoughts on the book itself.
The main characters are like able, but I can't help but feel things where rushed. I wish there would of been some time for Michelle and Gavin to have actually developed a real relationship instead of the typical love at first site bs. Although I did think Lucas and Rory interaction with each other was kind of cute. I know that it only takes one time having unprotected sex to get pregnant, but once again the whole situation seemed rushed. Also wished there was more conflict with the group of bad vampires.
